Doha, April 09 (QNA) - Al Arabi, holders of HH the Amir's Cup, commenced their preparations on Tuesday for the upcoming clash against Sharjah FC in the Qatar-UAE Super Cup, which will take place on Friday at Al Thumama Stadium.

Under the guidance of coach Younis Ali, Al Arabi conducted their training session on Tuesday on their secondary pitch at the club, focusing on physical conditioning and tactical aspects to reach the required level of readiness ahead of the crucial encounter against Sharjah, the champions of the UAE President's Cup last season.

The team appears to be at full strength, with no absences noted during training. Former Paris Saint-Germain player Rafinha Alcantara has joined the squad after recovering from his recent injury, alongside the full readiness of their Syrian top scorer Omar Al Somah and their international playmaker Youssef Msakni.

Al Arabi coaching staff held an extensive meeting with the players before the training session, urging them to double their efforts to delight the club's fans, who are eagerly anticipating clinching the first title in this tournament.

Al Arabi aim to achieve their first title of the current season after missing the chance to compete for a spot in the top four of the Qatari league, as they currently occupy the fifth position after the 20th round with 26 points, trailing fourth-placed Al Wakrah by 11 points, with three rounds remaining in the competition.
